Title: Young people and their expectations for the European elections

Summary:

In June 2024, elections for the European Parliament will be held and all adult citizens of EU countries will be able to vote and elect the next Members of the European Parliament. Every 5 years, voters elect nearly 700 members of the European Parliament, the most numerous in the world. The question for young people, some of whom will go to vote for the first time this year, is what they expect from the European Union in the future.

You can hear the position of several young people: Petar Dobrev, a young IT specialist, Stella Nikolova, an advertising specialist and entrepreneur, Silvia Nikolova, a student at Sofia University, Nikolay Dobrev, a 12th-grade student, Vera Nikolova, a marketing specialist, and Daniel Jevelekov, a teacher.

We will also hear the voices of Andrej Stupu, an education expert, and 19-year-old Smaranda Oprina, a 2nd-year student at the Faculty of Political Sciences at the University of Bucharest (production of Radio Romania) as well as João Albuquerque from Portugal (production of Radio Renascensa).
